Hidden Pathways

I was out taking an ordinary walk to somewhere I'd never been, when I came across a sign.

Heritage Pathway
Circa 1929

Access to Mystical Circuit

Are you as intrigued as I was?
I followed this unstable pathway that claimed to be decades old. It lead me between peoples houses and yards around pools and a tennis court that was suspended in the air. Exiting the path it felt like I'd stumbled upon a secret town, a collection of large and old house. All were high built and surrounded by trees that could only be describe as...well like a rain forest.

But there were more of these strange paths on Mystical Circuit all claiming to be from 1929, but all looked as if they had been paved no earlier than 1985. What made these paths so historical? The fact the random wanderers such as myself had been drawn to them since that time. There was nothing historical about them. But they did lead to intriguing places with park benches and views of the city.

Further exploration is need, but at that time my asthma and smoking habit have joined into a wind stopping force in my lungs. I retired from my aimless treading into unknown places.

  1. Heh, I actively seek out those pathways and they always disappoint me with their leading to another nowhere-interesting. What makes them so special as to be heritage listed?
Was this the one over at Paramount Crt I think it is?

  2. I found this road close by. It's like a spiral up this hill and it goes forever. But I swear to god you feel like you're in a rainforest rual town when you're there... but infact you're like 5 mins from the city. If you keep following the rainforest retreat road you eventually end up on a normal looking suburban street. Really strange. Anyway I was intrigued by this said signage also. like where?
